My name is Jennifer Falk. I have taught various grades in elementary, but am now teaching Language Arts to junior and senior high students. I am excited to learn more about integrating technology and helping prepare students to compete in a digital world. Technology and the Internet have certainly impacted how we learn, and how we will learn as the walls to our classrooms continue to expand into the world.
My name is Jamie Cooke. I am in my seventh year of teaching and I have taught second and third grade. I am currently teaching third grade and enjoying the technology integration I have thus far added to my class. I live in Hinesville, Georgia and we have a good amount of technology available to us in our school system. I was one of six teachers picked for a podcasting initiative in our school system this year. We have had our first training and it is very exciting for us to be pioneering this prgoram for our county. I will look forward to advancing my wiki skills with you all during the remainder of this course.
Hi, I'm Paul McKenzie from New Zealand, but am living and teaching the world. I'm currently the Head of ICT and Technology Integration at The International School of Belgrade in sunny Serbia. My wife, Jennie, is the Head Librarian and Media Specialist and our kids are in grades 5 and 8. There have been a lot of changes in technology since we arrived here, but I'm happy to say our colleagues are still talking to us :)
My name is Wendi Elsen. I am from Wyoming and this summer my husband and I became parents to a wonderful baby boy. I am currently teaching 4th grade, but at my school we believe in the looping process, so last year I taught 5th grade. This is my third year of teaching and have went though the loop once and truly enjoyed the experience. It is amazing the bonds you make with your students when you are with them for two years. It was so hard to see them go to 6th grade in other buildings throughout our town! At my school, we have a good deal of technology and I look forward to sharing my experiences with the group and learning from all of you!
Hi, I am Jim Van Ardale from upstate New York. My wife and I have 2 wonderful(most of the time) daughters 16 and 19. I teach 5th grade in a small rural district that is just coming online with technology thanks to the efforts of a few. I worked with technology in a prior career to teaching so I find in exciting to be able to accomplish my learning outcomes with using it in my classroom. I am excited my the level of experience I see from my classmates in this area and looking forward to working with everyone.
